Michael (Mike) Appelbaum
Mr. Mike Appelbaum is a technology entrepreneur and inventor with 25+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying computer software.
He is CEO of Immersive Wisdom, a leading provider of real-time remote virtual operations center collaboration software. Mike created the technical vision for Immersive Wisdom’s software platform that allows geographically dispersed personnel to effectively collaborate and act in a shared real-time environment without having to be physically together, even in very low-bandwidth and unpredictable environments. He is lead on Immersive Wisdom’s patent portfolio and has invented groundbreaking use cases for data visualization, collaboration, information analysis, command & control, and situational awareness. Mike spearheaded In-Q-Tel’s investment in Immersive Wisdom, and is among the extremely privileged to have In-Q-Tel invest in two of his companies.
Mike was previously CEO of Agent Logic, a software company which he led from inception through acquisition, growing the company to 75 people with multi-million in revenue. Mike created the technical vision for Agent Logic’s Complex Event Processing software products and formed the company’s partnership with In-Q-Tel, including a significant investment.
Mike has a great love for solving complex software challenges and for developing information architectures and data analysis technologies. He has deep experience in multiple information analysis domains and possesses a passion for processing, visualizing, and fusing sources across the Multi-INT universe to deliver situational dominance.
Mike holds a B.S. in Business Administration (Management, with a concentration in Technology) and a Minor in Computer Science from Georgetown University.
